Marissa
Ambassador
My name is Marissa, and I’m a level C4 quadriplegic. I was injured June 24, 2015 in a car accident. I panicked when one of my tires blew, and I rolled down a ravine while coming out the window.

I became an RBT ambassador because from the day I was injured I had a support system. I can’t imagine what I would’ve done without it. I want to help those in my SCI community that need that support that don’t have it. No one should have to go through it alone. My mom is my rock. She was with me through every step. This included the trauma, every challenge, every milestone, and even when I wanted to give up and quit. She was the strength for the both of us. Without her I wouldn’t have made it. I want to give that love and support she gave me to others.

Donna
Ambassador
My name is Donna. I am injured at C4-6 due to surgery to repair herniated disks on December 3, 1985. Since then, my husband, Walter, has been my caregiver, my support, and my cheerleader! Walter has been my legs, arms, and hands for 37 years. He, along with my son, Jeff, who was a four year-old at the time, helped me through that initial shock and all the intervening years.

We believe everyone deserves that much-needed support! Without that support, going through the rough patches alone makes it that much more difficult.
We became RBT ambassadors because we would like to help those that need that support who don’t have it. No one should have to go through it alone. No one needs to go it alone.
He had my heart for many years before that; we just celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary.
